Web Application Developer - CHICAGO

Americaneagle.com is seeking a qualified and motivated candidate to fill the Web Application Developer position within our Park Ridge, IL office.  Americaneagle.com is an industry leader in Web site design, development, hosting, and marketing.  Some of our many clients include: The Chicago Bears, Fannie May Candies, Donald J Pliner Shoes, Chiasso, and the U.S. Army. 

We are looking for an individual who has a passion for cutting-edge innovations and technology within the world of Web development.  Indeed, candidates will have the chance to be a major contributor to a dynamic programming team within a rapidly growing and innovative company. 

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years experience building Web applications using ASP/ASP.NET/SQL Server

Interactive Solutions Developer - CHICAGO/WASHINGTON DC

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Generating mood, concept and working beta site while work in a time-challenged situation that meets the tough demands of users and technology.
  • Creating compelling digital design solutions and functionality that inspire users and meet business goals.
  • Communicating effectively at a high level in client organizations, able to produce and present work on your own.
  • Excellent presentation skills, able to lead the pitching process from a creative perspective.
  • A clear understanding of user-centered design and the process involved, including:
  • Persona development
  • wireframing
  • user journeys or scenario work
  • interface design and navigation
  • Ability to discuss and interpret to client where necessary.
  • Ability to lead to help create the best design work and create successful and integrated experiences.
  • Maintaining regular contact with other divisions including front and back end developers on a specific project when required to ensure a consistent approach to the design style and branding of the division's interactive output.
  • Design expertise and direction into proposals and presentations.

Candidate Requirements

  • Formal background & qualifications (Degree and or Masters) in one or more of the following;
  • Graphic Design
  • Interactive Media Design
  • Multimedia - specializing in design
  • Typography
  • User Interface design
  • Experience and working knowledge of AJAX technologies - DHTML / JavaScript / JQuery / CSS / HTML
  • Web Development standards and complicacies.
  • A deep understanding of branding and marketing
  • A detailed understanding of the principles, techniques and legislation associated with accessibility of interactive media
  • An excellent understanding of the technology required to build digital interactive solutions and experiences
  • An understanding and ability to run the creative process within a team environment
  • Ability to take a brief and direct others when required
  • Ability to work within a team environment where design and production are a collaborative effort.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in the Retail, B2B, and Municipality and School District design/conceptualization.
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following:
  • High degree of competence in Adobe graphic design products
  • Flash - Action Script
  • Ability and commitment to training, mentoring and working with other designers
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with people from all disciplines, both within and outside the Interactive Solution team.
  • To be able to establish rapport and good working relationships with clients.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new technologies.

Project Manager - CHICAGO/WASHINGTON DC

The Project Manager's primary responsibility is to manage and execute Web site and web application development projects for our clients. The Project Manager leads the team and acts as the liaison. The Project Manager takes a project from the initial conception described in the proposal and develops the scope through completion, on schedule, on budget, and meeting or exceeding expectations of the team and the client. Additionally, the Project Manager supports the Senior Programmer and Account Manager in developing overall account strategy and strengthening the client relationship.

 

  • Manages the project team through creation of detailed and accurate project descriptions, estimates, functional and technical specifications, schedules, timelines and written status reports throughout the Web site development process.
  • Documents all aspects of project development through the use of project extranets, meeting notes, change request forms, and other documentation
  • Understands and follows the established project development and change management process and contributes to this process
  • Works with the Senior Programmer and Art Director to manage resources for the project, including utilization of team resources, forecasting and budget management.
  • Strong organization, communication, and motivational skills A self-starter attitude; strong organization and written and verbal communication skills
  • Marketing / Graphical / Technical backgrounds are a bonus or a plus
  • Undergraduate Degree

Account Executive - CHICAGO/WASHINGTON DC

A highly-skilled sales professional who is comfortable and successful selling into the executive level of prospect or client. They are responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals. The role requires one to be comfortable with Website technology and effectively lead a team through the qualification, strategy, proposal, and closing phases of the sales process and to bring new opportunities to our organization.

Senior Web Production Artist - CHICAGO

The Senior Web Production Artist will be responsible for production process management and hands-on production of complex Web pages (often including e-commerce functionality) based on a pre-established look & feel. While this is not a design or coding position, it requires a strong design aesthetic and a strong knowledge of the freedoms & limitations posed by design & programming for the Web. This position also requires administration and management of the design department’s digital resources, including: fonts, stock & product photography, vector art, psd's, etc. Expert knowledge of Web design tools such as Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator is required in order to apply a given look & feel through a complex series of sub-pages.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Producing high-quality Web pages based on a pre-established design theme
  • Maintain quality control of design style through application of look & feel to all pages
  • Advanced batch processing, retouching, color correction and balancing of digital images to meet both Web and design specifications
  • Design production administration including organization of design dept. resource files/folders/libraries for fonts, stock & product photography, vector art, psd's, etc.

Requirements:

  • Must demonstrate a strong understanding of the principles of design & typography
  • PhotoShop Guru
  • Successfully manage all aspects of a sites' production from start to finish
  • Self-motivated
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable following direction and directing production work
  • Ability to maintain quality work in a fast paced, high volume, tight deadline environment
  • Strong organizational skills & attention to detail with solid web design fundamentals essential for site maintenance and improvement projects
  • Proficiency in the application of a pre-established design style, color correction, photo enhancing & retouching, and other graphic production techniques for the Web
  • Comprehensive understanding of image formats (EPS, TIF, GIF, JPEG, PNG, PDF), graphic compression tools and their use
  • Mastery of image optimization techniques and tools through knowledge of Web design constraints, including download times, browser differences and web-safe palettes
  • Undergraduate Degree
  • 5+ years experience

Server / Network Tech - CHICAGO

Americaneagle.com is looking to fill our 3rd shift (midnight – 8 a.m. Monday-Friday) Server Technician position. The primary responsibility of this position is to monitor server/network operations and perform any necessary steps to resolve any issues that may arise. You will be responsible for performing monthly patching of data center servers as well as complete other projects as required.  You will perform hardware and software troubleshooting and provide break/fix resolution or escalation as well as perform any scheduled or emergency maintenance for datacenter servers.

Candidates should have a strong knowledge of hardware and software troubleshooting. Experience supporting Windows 2003 based server as well as technical proficiency in relevant operating systems and applications. Experience supporting SQL Server databases is preferred but not required.

 

 

 


Accounting - Entry Level - PARK RIDGE

Looking for a Full time person for our Accounting Department in Park Ridge, Il.  Person must have good computer skills and A/P and A/R experience. Experience working with Peachtree accounting software a plus.
