Senior Front End Developer

Responsibilities:
  • Be on the front lines with other FEDs building out strong code and sites
  • Help mentor and guide other FEDs in best practices
  • Help build out standards and processes to ensure high quality work of all developers
  • Work with Project Managers and/or the Technical Lead to manage time estimates and completion accuracy of assigned project tasks
  • Review designs and approaches for best practices in UX
  • Create compelling solutions and functionality that inspire users and meet business goals
  • Stay current on developing technologies and properly utilize them in your work
Requirements:
  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in front-end technology
  • Expert knowledge of HTML nuances and proper semantics
  • Expert skillset in JavaScript and strong knowledge of MV* JS frameworks
  • Solid understanding of progressive enhancement, responsive design, accessibility and best UX/UI practices
  • Ability to work within a team environment where design and production are a collaborative effort
  • Strong understanding of the WCAG specification and accessibility approaches
  • Experienced in handling REST APIs
  • Background in page speed and rendering efficiency testing and remediation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with team members and clients
  • Experience working within a source control environment (e.g. Git)
  • Experience building and compiling CSS with Sass, Less, or PostCSS
  • Comfortable with build tools on Node.js
  •   Must be self-driven to stay up-to-date on the trends and techniques in a changing industry
  • Degree in Computer Science, Interactive Media Design, Web Design & Development or related certification from a recognized training organization
Desirable Skills:
  • Solid understanding of progressive enhancement, responsive design, accessibility and best UX/UI practices
  • Experience in CMS development in platforms such as BigCommerce, Wordpress, Sitefinity, Sitecore, etc.
  • Knowledge of backend languages of .NET and/or PHP
  • Ability and commitment to training, mentoring, and working with other designers and developers
  • Experience in working on PWA projects
  • Experience in automated testing tools such as Puppeteer, Selenium, etc.
