Americacaneagle.com is hiring a Resource Manager to help our day-to-day managers and ensure employees are always assigned enough work; work that they are most skilled to do and have the bandwidth to do so. As a Resource Manager, you will direct the allocation of resources to various projects or departments to improve utilization and increase profitability for the company.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain an understanding of practice portfolio and status of each engagement
  • Maintain an understanding of key skills needed, team members career aspirations and current skill sets, to align employees to engagement staffing needs
  • Work with the delivery teams to understand demand and determine appropriate staffing
  • Develop staffing strategies to optimize employee utilization and optimize engagement profitability
  • Ensure staffing levels are adequate for current and future engagements; develop hiring plans for you assigned practice
  • Maintain Resource Management tools such as Assignment Tracker, Allocation Tracker, Skills Inventory, and Practice Portfolio Tracker
  • Utilize Resource Management systems to generate and analyze reports
  • Report utilization, demand, and supply metrics to stakeholders
  • Ensure timely submission of timesheets for your assigned practices
  • Contribute to development and documentation of standard Resource Management Methodology

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Management, HR Management, or a similar field
  • Project Management Certification Course, Scrum Master Certification a plus
  • Minimum 2 years experience in roles similar to Resource Manager, Project Manager, Project Coordinator, Scrum Master
  • Technical skills such as the following:
    • Project planning
    • Project scheduling
    • Data analysis
    • Data visualization (excel)
    • Jira/Confluence/Smartsheet experience
  • Interpersonal interaction skills (effective communication, negotiation, collaboration, leadership)
  • Managerial and time-management skills
  • Excellent decision making skills
  • Conflict resolution and problem solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
