We are seeking a talented Web Operations Technician with expertise in WordPress to join our team. As a Web Operations Technician, you will play a crucial role in building, supporting, and hosting WordPress websites for our clients. The ideal candidate is someone who is experienced with WordPress best practices, proficient in managing hosting platforms like WPEngine and WordPress VIP, and familiar with tools such as New Relic and plugin managers.

Responsibilities:
  • Deploy and maintain WordPress websites for our clients, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability
  • Collaborate with our development and design teams to implement website features, enhancements, and updates
  • Monitor website performance using tools like New Relic, identifying and resolving any issues that may arise
  • Manage WordPress hosting platforms such as WPEngine and WordPress VIP, including server configuration, backups, and troubleshooting
  • Install, configure, and maintain WordPress plugins, ensuring compatibility and security
  • Provide technical support to clients, addressing any website-related inquiries or issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Stay updated on the latest WordPress trends, best practices, and security vulnerabilities
Requirements:
  • Solid understanding of WordPress architecture, themes, and plugins
  • Experience working with WordPress hosting platforms, particularly WPEngine and WordPress VIP
  • Proficiency in tools like New Relic for monitoring website performance
  • Familiarity with WordPress plugin managers and the ability to troubleshoot plugin conflicts
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team
  • 3+ years of experience is preferred
