Senior Experience Cloud Front-end Developer

We're looking for a talented Experience Cloud Front-end Developer to join our growing Salesforce team. This role focuses exclusively on front-end development for Salesforce Experience Cloud implementations, creating engaging user interfaces and seamless user experiences for customer-facing portals and community sites.
Behind every exceptional digital experience, there is a team of developers crafting, coding, and optimizing front-end interfaces. We are looking for talented individuals with deep Experience Cloud front-end expertise who have the aptitude to get the job done on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Front-end Development and User Experience:

  • Design and develop responsive, mobile-first user interfaces for Salesforce Experience Cloud sites
  • Build custom Lightning Web Components (LWC) for Experience Cloud implementations
  • Create and customize Experience Cloud templates, themes, and page layouts
  • Implement accessible, SEO-optimized front-end solutions following WCAG guidelines

Experience Cloud Specialization:

  • Develop custom CSS frameworks and styling solutions for Experience Cloud sites
  • Build interactive user interfaces using Lightning Design System (SLDS) components
  • Implement Experience Cloud-specific features like navigation menus, search functionality, and user authentication flows
  • Create responsive layouts that work seamlessly across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices

JavaScript and Interactive Features:

  • Develop custom JavaScript solutions for enhanced functionality within Experience Cloud constraints
  • Build dynamic user interactions using vanilla JavaScript and Lightning Web Component framework
  • Implement client-side validation, form handling, and real-time user feedback
  • Integrate third-party JavaScript libraries and APIs within Experience Cloud security limitations

Performance and Optimization:

  • Optimize front-end performance for fast loading times and smooth user experiences
  • Implement efficient CSS and JavaScript bundling strategies
  • Conduct cross-browser testing and ensure consistent user experience across all major browsers
  • Monitor and optimize Core Web Vitals and other performance metrics

Content Management and Customization:

  • Work with Experience Builder to create custom page templates and components
  • Implement dynamic content delivery and personalization features
  • Build custom forms, surveys, and interactive elements for community engagement
  • Create responsive email templates and notification systems

Required Qualifications

Front-end Technical Skills:

  • 3+ years of front-end development experience with strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Experience Cloud development
  • Proficiency in Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Aura Component framework
  • Strong experience with responsive web design and mobile-first development approaches

Experience Cloud Expertise:

  • Deep knowledge of Experience Cloud architecture, templates, and theming capabilities
  • Experience with Experience Builder for page creation and customization
  • Understanding of Experience Cloud security model, guest user permissions, and authentication flows
  • Knowledge of Experience Cloud SEO best practices and site optimization techniques

Professional Skills:

  • Excellent attention to detail and pixel-perfect implementation skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities for cross-browser compatibility issues
  • Ability to work collaboratively with designers, UX teams, and backend developers
  • Experience working in Agile development environments with iterative design processes
