Software Development Engineer in Test

We are looking for a talented QA Automation Engineer or SDET to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with Cypress.io, and Jira. They will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated end-to-end tests, for our web applications. The SDET will also be responsible for working with the development team to identify and fix bugs. 

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for various types of testing (functional, integration, performance, system, and acceptance 
  • Ensure the quality and reliability of the automated tests by conducting thorough code reviews and debugging. 
  • Collaborate with QA Analysts and developers to identify area where automation can improve testing efficiency. 
  • Continuously research and elevate new automation tools, technologies, and best practices.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the test automation framework and processes 
  • Contribute towards Reusable Automation Code and make use of it to increase consistency and save effort. 
  • Conduct thorough manual testing of software applications. 
  • Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various types of testing (functional, integration, system, and acceptance). 
  • Collaborate with developers to identify, track, and resolve defects
  • Provide input on testing strategies and methodologies, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
  • Follow QA SOPs, standards, processes, and best practices as defined by the QA Organization. 
  • Provide regular updates to the Project Leadership, QA Leadership, and Stakeholders. 
  • Contribute towards Reusable documentation and make use of them to increase consistency and save effort.
Requirements:
  • UI Automation using Tools/Frameworks like Selenium and Cypress (preferred). 
  • Performance Testing using Tools/Frameworks like JMeter.
  • Programming in languages/scripts like Java, C#, Javascript, Typescript. 
  • Knowledge of SDLC Methodologies like Scrum and Kanban (preferred).
  • Test Case Design and Execution using Test Management tools like Zephyr.
  • Bug Tracking & Reporting using Project Management tools like Jira.
  • API Testing using tools like Postman. 
  • Mobile Testing on real devices as well as cloud platforms like BrowserStack.
  • SQL commands on Databases like SQL Server. 
  • Data/Payload formats like Json, XML, Html.
  • Debugging using Browser Dev Tools and Applications Logs. 
  • Knowledge of ecommerce platforms like Shopify, Magento, Oro Commerce. 
  • Attention to detail.
  • Thorough Documentation.
  • Effective Communication skills.
