As a Senior Liferay Developer, you have experience working on large digital projects. You use advanced knowledge of Java to create modular applications with a deep understanding of best practices.

You are able to communicate clearly with clients and colleagues about technical and non-technical issues. You provide strategic advice to project stakeholders and work collaboratively with other departments and teams. You can translate client requirements into technical approaches while considering scope and budget.

You help provide technical steer and leadership to the wider team, providing technical insights, advice and code reviews. You are a keen problem-solver and an active participant in strategic & technical discussions within the team.

You take pride in your work, delivering successful projects through clear communication, organization and high-quality code.

Responsibilities:
  • Create style sheets, templates, and components within Liferay DXP and implement them along with appropriate web technologies to accomplish business objectives
  • Working with Liferay DXP 
  • Using configuration/customization of Liferay Portal
  • Developing Liferay pages and Liferay forms
  • Assist in estimating new projects and define scopes
  • Help maintain current continuous integration and continuous delivery for development, QA and live websites
  • Collaborate successfully with others
  • Focusing on clients needs and delivering quality
  • Communicating clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of Java/J2EE application design and development experience
  • Experience with OSGI or similar framework
  • Experience with MVC design pattern
  • Experience with Hibernate/Spring frameworks
  • Experience implementing and utilizing Web services, Service/System Integrations
  • Strong Web UI development skills (i.e. HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Project experience with Liferay or other Java-based portal platforms is preferred
