Digital Strategist - Content

The mission is to create cutting-edge content strategy solutions for our clients and take them from idea to implementation as an integral part of our world-class team of digital strategists.  

Our strategists interact with clients to understand their business goals and design digital strategies that achieve and exceed objectives through a digital implementation project. Strategists are trusted advisors to clients and provide actionable recommendations to seize opportunities and solve challenges.    

In this role, you will be tasked with developing a clear understanding of a client's content requirements. You will use your communication skills, attention to detail as well as analytical capabilities to formulate ideal, tailored content strategies that address the gap between content that exists today and content that will accelerate the performance of a client's website. The key to your success as digital strategist with a strong content focus is not only prior experience in a strategic content position as well as rock-solid knowledge of content strategy best practices. We're looking for someone with a strong passion for digital content who sees the possible in the impossible and builds strategies that do not follow, but lead. As a digital strategist, you will play a key role in establishing an evolving the Americaneagle.com Content Experience (CXP) approach as a standard practice throughout the digital strategy team.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in foundational strategy engagements to help understand client goals and design a solution to help them achieve those goals
  • Focus on how clients use or can use content to meet their business objectives, auditing existing content and using data to measure its performance
  • Use knowledge of client objectives to create CXP solutions for clients covering: Content strategy, Content marketing, Content governance
  • Capture starting point or benchmark data to ensure clients can accurately measure project success once a new content strategy has been adopted
  • Work with the strategy team to produce strategy documentation for clients
  • Stay on top of thinking, technology and tools in the content analysis arena and be the conduit for surfacing new ideas and creating cutting edge solutions.
  • Work with the business analysts to define the work required to implement any content solution, ensure it is captured in the work backlog
  • Work with the whole strategy team to ensure that, in all our offerings, our processes, practices, documentation, recommendations and solutions around CXP meet the highest possible standards and provide the maximum amount of value to clients
Requirements:
  • 5+ years experience in a strategic content role
  • 3+ years experience working with mainstream and enterprise CMS platforms
  • A solid understanding of cohesive, results-driven content structures
  • Experience with content, content IA and UX concepts
  • Familiarity with content production processes
  • Fluency in creating strategic and routine content audits
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of SEO best practices and application of tools such as SEMRush
  • Foundational knowledge of KPI tracking using Google Analytics
  • Experience working within Agile software development projects
